Chapel Down Flint Dry 2008 Kent, England

A blend of Bacchus and other local varieties made in the Chapel Winery in Tenterden.

The style is deliberately steely and reminiscent of Chablis, with a flinty mineral character, yet with lovely herbaceous tones. A good wine to go with seafood or white meats.

A good-value white from Kent, with a tangy grapefruit and tangerine character and a slightly riper finish than some. Susy Atkins, The Sunday Telegraph, 27 May 2007
‘Flinty’ certainly applies to this refreshingly sharp, dry white, with its introductory lovely elderflower scent on the nose. Graham Gendall Norton, The Church of England Newspaper, 1 June 2007
