More information

Villa Antinori 2003 Toscana, Italy
Antinori is thought to be the oldest wine producer in the world, and this classic wine is evidence of their experience in this field. Deliciously oaky and restrained with red fruit flavours and silky tannins.

Clos de los Siete 2004/05 Mendoza, Argentina
Clos de los Siete is the brainchild of Michel Rolland, the famed French wine consultant. He has set up a vineyard in Argentina in partnership with others from Bordeaux. The finished wine is full of black fruit flavours and sweet vanilla oak.

Vega de Castilla Crianza 2003 Ribera del Duero, Spain
This is sturdy red wine from low yielding vines, which adds to the flavour intensity of the wine. It shows red and black fruit notes and a nice smokiness. Enjoy with hearty foods like roast beef or perhaps squid in red wine and tomato sauce.

Henschke Louis Semillon 2005 Eden Valley, S Australia
Named in tribute to Louis, expert vigneron of the Hill of Grace vineyard for 40 years. Fermented and matured for six months in new French oak, it is a subtle and complex wine, delicate in youth and honey-on-toast flavours as it matures. Delicious with seafood, poultry or pork.

Jackson Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2006 Marlborough, New Zealand
There is never a huge amount of this Wairau valley estate wine, and it never disappoints. Crunchy gooseberry and kiwi fruit has a cleansing minerally finish. A perfect apéritif and just the thing with meaty fish, chicken or pork dishes.

Joseph Drouhin 2006 Rully Premier Cru, Burgundy, France
From a premier cru site in the village of Rully, in the Chalonnais region of Burgundy, Joseph Drouhin have produced a rich ripe Chardonnay, with crisp acidity running through the buttered toast character.
