A big, intense and gutsy red from the tiny village of Lirac.
Domaine du Joncier is a hidden gem of a property from an up-and-coming village in the Rhône Valley. The Domaine is run by the charming Marine Roussell and the wine is dense and beefy, with a good deal of brooding rich fruit and great concentration.
In The Press:
"...The deep colour and berryish character of this luscious example could have been made for the rich, yet subtle textures and flavours of lamb - a sensual wine for an indulgent feast...Here the Domaine's owner, Marine Roussel, has created an artful balance of grenache, syrah and mourvedre that offers a depth and richness it would be hard to find in a wine made from just one variety.
